$83,706 - $89,659 up to 15.4% Superannuation Fairbairn - ACT The Role The Administration Support Officer works as part of a small Support & Coordination Team in Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Headquarters. Support and Coordination provide administrative support to DFR Executive and the wider workforce within DFR to deliver Defence capability. This includes managing file structures and records systems via Objective and conducting regular maintenance and assurance activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for coordinating APS Recruitment within HQDFR, as well as assisting in the management of DFR’s SharePoint website. On the job training will be provided if required. About our Team The Support & Coordination Team are responsible for providing military coordination and administrative support to 16 DFR Recruiting Centres around Australia and the Headquarters in Canberra. The HQ Team, based at Fairbairn, consists of ADF and APS staff and reports to the Chief of Staff. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. Our ideal candidate is expected to: Interpret and provide advice within the administration function based on legislation, policy and procedures. Coordinate and contribute to team outcomes and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. Recommend solutions for issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes and seek advice and guidance on more complex issues. Explain and apply the operational, technical and resources requirements of an activity and assist in the coordination, delivery and reporting of that activity. Engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues.
