THE OPPORTUNITY Salary: $60,416 - $65,237 per annum pro rata 11.5% super annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience). Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT. Location: Drummond Street campus. WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check. Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check. Position Status: Ongoing position with a 6-month qualifying period. The Centre for Energy and Infrastructure at Holmesglen is looking for a Stores Person who is motivated, highly organised and detailed oriented to join their Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) department at Holmesglen’s Drummond Street campus. The job involves working with industry-standard equipment in our expansive facilities. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Keep the department's ESI stores, plant and equipment stocked, organised, and maintained. Issue plant, equipment and teaching consumables required for training programs and upkeep of training areas. Undertake the basic upkeep and maintenance of training areas, pole yard & plant and equipment used for the delivery ESI programs. Report to the head of department on the condition of store areas, training areas and the maintenance of plant and equipment routinely. ABOUT YOU Good interpersonal & communication skills Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to upkeep, maintain and organise storage spaces and organise/schedule the calibration and maintenance of plant and equipment. Relevant trade experience including appropriate skill sets which supports the operations of a trade-based workshop. Strong knowledge of stores operations, stock control, and maintaining trade workshop tools and equipment. Experience in purchasing and inventory, asset management. Certificate III in a relevant trade, forklift license, and a current valid driver’s license.
