About the Role We are seeking two experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our dynamic team in Darwin on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of plant and equipment, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance and services on trucks, light vehicles, and heavy equipment. Conduct repairs for mechanical faults and damaged parts. Carry out safety checks and complete detailed damage reports. Maintain a critical spares inventory to minimize downtime. Record repairs and faults in the maintenance register. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns. Ensure workplace safety by adhering to risk management protocols. Participate in hazard identification and incident reporting. Service A/C systems. Qualifications & Skills Diesel Mechanic Certification: Australian Cert III in Diesel Mechanics or a recognized international equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds, Red Seal, or FETAC). Experience: 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in truck maintenance and heavy vehicle repairs. Valid Driver’s License: Essential for this role. English Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills (International candidates must meet Australian Department of Immigration English requirements). Vetassess Trade Assessment: Required for candidates from countries specified by the Australian Department of Immigration. Preferred Licenses & Certifications Current driver’s license (HR/HC highly regarded). Forklift license (preferred). Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space, White Card, and Working at Heights certifications (highly regarded).
