Job summary: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Work visa can be provided for this role Expected start date for role: 01 March 2025 Expected salary: $45 - $50 per hour Truck Auto Electrician in Darwin Are you a qualified Truck Auto Electrician in Darwin looking to boost your career? This role offers hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles , with opportunities for career advancement and SID Visa sponsorship for international applicants. Key Responsibilities as a Truck Auto Electrician As a Truck Auto Electrician in our client's Darwin-based team, you will: Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on Heavy and Light trucks , trailers, and other heavy vehicles. Conduct routine system inspections on heavy and light trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Use diagnostic tools to identify and repair electrical faults in heavy vehicles , including engines, transmissions, EBS, and chassis systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues on all vehicles and ensure compliance with DVSA and company standards. Have a broad understanding and experience of Air Conditioning and Climate Control Systems on the fleet Maintain a safe and compliant workshop environment, following WHS guidelines and Chain of Responsibility regulations . Vehicles and Equipment You’ll Work On As a Truck Auto Electrician in Darwin , you’ll work on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment, including: Prime Movers : Scania trucks, Kenworth, Mack, Freightliner, Western Star, and Volvo. Rigid Trucks : Tippers, water carts, and crew trucks. Asphalt Pavers, Light trucks, 44s, UTES and Company Cars Qualifications and Requirements To succeed as a Truck Auto Electrician you should have: Cert III in Auto-Electrics (or an international equivalent in truck electrical maintenance ). At least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience working with heavy vehicles , ideally Scania trucks . A valid driver’s license and fluency in English . If an International Candidate from a country requiring it (as set out by the Australian Dept of Immigration), have passed an English Test, and Vetassess / Cert III Trade Assessment. Skills and Experience We’re looking for a Truck Auto Electrician with: Expertise in chassis and body electrical systems on Highway and Light Trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for electrical faults in heavy vehicles . Excellent communication and time management abilities. A commitment to safety and compliance with WHS standards .
