Job Description
The key duties of the position include: The Role As an ICT Business Analyst in the Directorate of Operational Compliance, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to understand their unique needs and processes. You will leverage your highly developed analytical skills and problem-solving expertise to deliver impactful insights and solutions to a range of issues. This role will help drive transformation, streamline processes, and deliver effective compliance to ensure the reliable and secure operation of the Defence network. Key role requirements are: High levels of collaboration with a range of stakeholders. Planning and management of ongoing work. Generation of reports and effective data analysis to identify trends and drive creative solutions. Preparation of briefing material. As an APS 6 ICT Business Analyst, you may be required to undertake procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks in support of broader team goals. You may also be required to provide leadership and management to junior staff. About our Team The Directorate of Operational Compliance supports the Cyber Operations Division to enhance the posture and preparedness of Defence’s cyber capabilities, strengthen its capability delivery and implement consistent governance, policy, risk and compliance processes. This is achieved through: Collaborative design of obsolescence management practices; Modelling and improvement of functions across the Division; Analysis of outcomes and solution design for existing issues; and Promoting continuous improvement by supporting the uplift of key processes. The Directorate is a high-performing, integrated team with a focus on collaborative design and creative solutions. Our work directly contributes to the operation and safeguarding of the Defence network and its cyber capabilities. The following will be highly regarded: Experience working with the Microsoft suite, including Microsoft 365 products. A high degree of self-motivation and a willingness to undertake relevant training and development. Experience leading a collaborative, high performing team. Competency using data analysis tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience implementing business improvement initiatives. Eligibility Security Clearance Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance of 'Negative Vetting 1'.
