About the role: The Business Partner sits in the Finance and Support (F&S) division, and is responsible for the relationship between F&S and another division/s. Maintaining oversight of how effectively Finance and Support division branches service the rest of the Department, you will develop solutions and strategies to address needs of your division, while also providing intelligence to F&S to meet upcoming priorities in your division and identify business improvement opportunities to uplift capability. Managing competing priorities from stakeholders, business partners will need subject matter familiarity, high-level diagnostic and strategic capabilities, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and highly developed prioritization capacity. How you'll make a difference: Provide high quality business intelligence, authoritative advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research Responsible for budget, contract, and procurement information for division/s within their portfolio. The role will lead detailed budget development, management, analysis, and reporting services to support divisional / portfolio executives. The position has a key role in the contribution to cross portfolio tasks working with the Manager, Business Partner Coordination to ensure all timelines and reporting to central agencies are met. The role will also contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of financial reporting to ensure data integrity and detailed monitoring, management and reporting of budgets, including review and analysis of expenditure within the financial parameters. Be responsible for monthly budget forecasts and work closely with the Budget and Contract management teams to ensure a seamless monthly reporting cycle and reporting to relevant executive cohorts This role will work collaboratively with the Budget and Contract Management team to ensure financial systems are up to date and reflect a true representation of the divisions / portfolio' financial / budget positions, detailing all risks and reporting this to the relevant executive within division. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: CPA or CA or other equivalent accounting qualification and membership will also be highly regarded.
