An exciting, temporary opportunity has become available for a Principal of Marshall Road State School, commencing 22 April 2025. As the Principal of Marshall Road State School, you will play a vital role in delivering the vision of the department. The leadership role of Principal is critical to improving the educational outcomes of students in their schools. The Principal has a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. About The School Marshall Road State School has approximately 500 students from Prep to Year 6. The school has a strong sense of community and tradition with a significant number of parents and grandparents of our students having also attended our school. Sustainability for the future is a key theme which runs through the curriculum and activities of our school. Our school prides itself on the caring nature of our staff and students and the high standard of behaviour of our students. Our motto 'Only the Best' is central to our beliefs and actions while our expectation that all our students are 'SAFE, CARING LEARNERS' forms the basis of our Responsible Behaviour Plan. About The Role As the Principal you will: Deliver the vision of the department.Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools.Develop the quality of teaching and learning.Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders. The Principal reports to the School Supervisor. You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks: Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed onproviding quality learning outcomes for all students.Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.Futures oriented and strategic.Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.Manage resources to achieve goals.
