Job Description
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our educators and enhancing the learning experiences of our students. About Surat State School Surat State School is dedicated to providing quality education to students from Prep to Year 10. About The Role Support Classroom Instruction: Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities, providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and organised classroom environment by managing student behaviour and ensuring adherence to classroom rules.Preparation of Materials: prepare educational materials and resources for lessons. including setting up and cleaning up before and after activities.Student Supervision: Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being.Provide Support for Diverse Learners: Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.Communication: Maintain open communication with the teacher regarding student progress and any concerns about individual students.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support the overall goals of the educational program.Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role. About You Preferable but not necessary A current Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent.A current competency standard of Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III, or successful assessment against the required competency standards for the Certificate III in Education SupportExperience in Education: precious experience working in a classroom setting or with children in an educational context.
