Joinery Draftsperson - Microvellum

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joinery CAD Draftsman for a permanent, full-time position in our factory in Melbourne’s west. As a Microvellum specialist, you will take the ideas of our clients and architects, create the plans and documentation to make them a reality. Duties and Responsibilities: Be responsible for all aspects of design from order, production through to installation on site. Commercial office furniture and other custom joinery. Prepare drawings and cutting lists for CNC machining/production Purchasing of materials for each job. Development and maintenance of Microvellum Library of assets Quotes, invoicing and other related tasks. Minimum Requirements: Well experienced in Microvellum (minimum of 2 yrs) or similar softwares. Ability to produce detail shop drawings and produce cutting lists for CNC production. Preparation of drawings using our Microvellum library. Have a solid background in, and extensive knowledge of joinery construction methods High level of attention to detail Proactive with a “can-do” attitude Excellent organisational skills, and ability to prioritise work load Ability to work well in a team environment and independently Problem solving / troubleshooting skills Possess keen interest in the industry and innovations Knowledge of CNC machinery capabilities and application. Liaise with the production team. Display an ability to meet deadlines. Read and interpret drawings and specifications Strong communication skills Enthusiastic and efficient Every project is different so your understanding of custom joinery, materials and how to effectively assemble them and generate drawings using Microvellum is critical but highly satisfying once you see your designs come to life. IMMEDIATE START Hours - 38 Hour Week 7:30am to 4:30pm with early finish on Friday.
