Job Description
The role The role is responsible for providing guidance and collaborating with their colleagues to ensure timely and accurate delivery of departmental operational financial accounting activities, compliance with legislative and prescribed requirements and Australian Accounting Standards, Queensland Treasury Reporting Requirements, and contribute to the provision of specialist and professional advice to management and key stakeholders relating to financial accounting. The successful person You will have: Demonstrated experience in assisting in the preparation of comprehensive and well-rounded advice to management and other stakeholders and in assisting with the review of policies and procedures. Demonstrated involvement and success in contributing to continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the areas of operational financial accounting, with demonstrated ability to work within and thrive in successful teams. Demonstrated experience in the effective use of contemporary financial management information technology, together with experience in assisting with the research, review, interpretation, and analysis of information to assist in formulating recommendations and reports. High-level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills, with proven experience in working well with other team members. Ability to successfully contribute to delivery of a range of activities and projects within tight and conflicting timeframes and deadlines.
