About the role TAFE SA is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Officer to join the Centre of Excellence in Early Childhood Education and Care within the Academic Development Division. This role involves delivering expert advice, administrative support, and project management to achieve business and strategic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Support TAFE SA initiatives by managing multiple workflows and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. Develop project, financial, HR, and risk plans and reports aligned with Centre of Excellence operations. Prepare and deliver comprehensive and well-researched briefings, reports, and notes on sensitive and complex matters, including Chief Executive, Board, and Ministerial briefings. Liaise and negotiate with internal staff, government agencies, and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes. Contribute to continuous improvement processes using data analysis and issue identification. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across TAFE SA, government, and external networks. Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive and complex issues. Actively foster a positive and high-performing team culture to align with TAFE SA's strategic objectives. Key Selection Criteria: Proven experience in developing, managing, and delivering projects or workflows in complex environments, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to create networks, deliver reports, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters. Advanced problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities, fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals. Expertise in analysing data and providing actionable recommendations to senior managers. Qualifications in Business or Project Management is highly desirable. Special Conditions The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS). Some out of hours work may be required. Intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required. Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program Eligibility to work in Australia. Please refer to the Role Description for all Special Conditions.
