Job Description
People Insights, Workforce Research and Analysis About the team The Workforce Research and Analysis team takes the lead on collecting and drawing insights from APS workforce data. We manage the APS Employee Census, the APS Agency Survey and other APS-wide surveys. We communicate our data and insights through a variety of means, each engaging and appropriate for the intended audience. Our team is a trusted partner for APS agencies and teams within the APSC and we support them to get the most out of the Employee Census and the other data we collect and hold. About the roles These roles provide an exciting opportunity to inform and shape some of the strategies, projects and products of the APSC and broader APS. The Workforce Insights Officers will: Analyse a diverse range of quantitative and qualitative workforce data including human resources datasets and opinion survey responses. Engage with stakeholders, including APSC groups, APS agencies and others external to the APS to understand research requirements, provide analysis and support the delivery of APS Employee Census and APS Agency Survey priorities. Communicate with diverse audiences in a variety of written, visual and oral formats. Present data and insights in a variety of engaging ways to inform stakeholders of key messages, trends and issues. Plan and prioritise concurrent activities and communicate project timelines to ensure project outcomes. Work in a small team and assisting with other administrative tasks as required. Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining citizenship. Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated. All Commission staff are required to have a minimum Baseline security clearance prior to commencement. Successful applicants will be required to undergo a mandatory National Criminal History check as part of the pre-employment eligibility checks.
