About the Role TAFE SA is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our Automotive Workgroup as a Lecturer in Automotive . This role offers a unique opportunity to impart your industry expertise to students while contributing to the development of future heavy vehicle specialists. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality training and assessment to students in Heavy Vehicle automotive disciplines. Develop, implement, and review learning materials that incorporate flexible delivery methodologies and industry best practices. Maintain current knowledge of technical skills, industry standards, and e-learning platforms to support the learning experience of students. Collaborate with industry stakeholders to ensure training meets workforce needs and aligns with ASQA requirements. The successful applicant will have: Trade Qualifications : Certificate III (minimum) in relevant industry trade qualifications (Such as: Heavy Vehicle/ Mobile Plant/ Agricultural). Training Qualifications : Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 or later) or currently working towards it. Experience : Proven industry experience in automotive trades (Heavy Vehicle/ Mobile Plant/ Agricultural) and established relationships with industry stakeholders. Technical Skills : Proficiency in relevant technology, software packages, and learning management platforms used in Automotive Vehicle programs. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS). Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential. Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA. A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential. Essential - Demonstrate your significant “track record’ in evaluating operational processes and procedures, identifying improvements, and making recommendations. Essential - Demonstrate your knowledge and experience in teaching/training/facilitation /mentoring. Essential - Applying Work Health and Safety (WH&S) and Return to Work legislative requirements in business activities for which the position is responsible, whilst ensuring compliance to Agency WH&S policies, procedures and processes including the identification, assessment and control of risks and evaluation of mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of injury and/or disease.
