Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will report to the Accounts Manager and play a crucial part in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will span across trust accounting to accounts payable and receivable, data entry, bank reconciliation, and billing. You will also manage our accounts inbox and help desk, and liaise with both internal and external parties. 30 hours per week across 4 or 5 days. Key Responsibilities Process trust and office account receipts, payments, and daily bank reconciliations Maintain trust accounting records, including controlled monies Handle accounts receivable and payable, including creditor invoices and client disbursements Work collaboratively with legal teams on the billing of legal matters Prioritise and manage the firm’s busy accounts inbox About You Experience in a similar role, with a focus on legal trust accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing Knowledge of Trust Accounting procedures and guidelines Experience with legal practice management and billing systems Strong attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines High-level analytical skills and problem-solving abilities Flexible and adaptive approach to new processes Excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and productively with others Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
