Job Description

Your key responsibilities Develop comprehensive project documentation and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, to ensure quality outcomes are delivered across the project lifecycle. Engage and maintain strong mutually beneficial professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the development and delivery of project deliverables. Proactively monitor, control and drive performance (including realisation of benefits) against project plans, deliverables, and schedules. Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders through a variety of channels (reports, meetings, presentations etc.), leading the development of all project reporting documentation, from project status updates to executive and board-level reports. Facilitate the successful adoption of change within the business by establishing effective communication channels, fostering stakeholder relationships through lessons learned and feedback mechanisms, managing expectations, and leveraging exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts. Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, assessment, and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, managed, reviewed, and escalated as appropriate. Actively participate in building positive and productive relationships, setting clear objectives, and providing professional leadership, guidance, knowledge transfer, capability uplift and support within the project team. Ability to analyse complex information, identify trends, make informed decisions, and align project objectives with broader Queensland Health organisational goals by contributing to strategic planning. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and proactively overcome challenges, taking ownership of outcomes, and demonstrating accountability for results, complemented by strong organisational skills to assist in the management of multiple concurrent projects and their deliverables simultaneously and prioritising tasks effectively. Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, and ethical behaviour. Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces. Mandatory qualifications, registrations and other requirements While not mandatory, a relevant qualification or certification in project management would be well regarded. Ability to work across South East Queensland sites, this is a Brisbane based role. Role fit The essential requirements for this role are: Demonstrated background in successfully coordinating complex and large-scale projects, applying project methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools. Well-developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and the ability to positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change. Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions to complex issues. Ability to work productively both independently and within a team to achieve project and program outcomes.
