About us University House is the Staff & Alumni Club of The University of Melbourne (Australia's 1 University). We operate cafes, bars, restaurants, and private function rooms across three venues, hosting events of all styles for Members and Guests. University House also boasts award-winning Wine Lists and Member's Bistro. About the role As the Club Venue Supervisor at University Club Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our premier club venue on the edge of Melbourne's CBD. This full-time position will see you leading a team of hospitality professionals to deliver an exceptional experience for our members and guests. What you'll be doing Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club venue, including staffing, service, and event coordination Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service throughout the venue Monitoring and managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment Providing hands-on leadership and support to the venue team, including training and development Collaborating with the management team to implement strategies and initiatives to enhance the club experience Addressing member and guest queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner Maintaining detailed records and reporting on venue performance and metrics What we're looking for Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver exceptional customer service Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach Proficient in using hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to promoting the club's values and brand What we offer At University Club Inc., we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
