Place Manager - Transitional Housing

About Unison Unison is a not-for-profit organisation that assists over 3,500 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness each year across Victoria. Our services include social, transitional, and affordable housing; owners’ corporation, cleaning, and ground services; and we provide homelessness services in Melbourne’s West by connecting people to safe accommodation and support. About the role We’re looking for a Place Manager to work as part of our transitional housing program based predominantly in Melbourne’s Western suburbs. Our Place Managers are at the heart of making an impact on our renters’ lives by ensuring Unison meets their fixed housing needs with a view to moving to long-term housing. As the first point of call for renters and stakeholders in your portfolio, you’ll be confident managing the end-to-end relationship between a renter, their Unison property and support worker. You will also effectively manage the renters in your portfolio in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act and other relevant legislation. About you You’ll be empathetic, resilient and highly skilled in working with people with complex backgrounds, needs and behaviour. Knowledge and practice within social housing and residential tenancy will assist you to hit the ground running in this role, but you may feel you have an ability to quickly learn or life experience that is equally aligned to Unison’s mission. This is an ongoing full-time position primarily based at our Footscray office under SCHADS Level 4 with a salary of approximately $87,000 per annum (plus super and leave loading).
