Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a global leader in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry to find an exceptional Senior Financial Accountant to join their Malvern-based team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (starting March 2025). About the Role This dynamic position is pivotal in supporting the company's financial operations, compliance, and reporting processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & Reporting: Ensure accurate month-end and year-end group reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements. Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and resolve issues related to financial closings. Monitor and optimise Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and key performance indicators. Internal Controls & Process Improvements: Maintain robust internal controls and develop appropriate KPIs and CPIs. Act as a local key user and expert in SAP and related systems. Support system implementations across finance, purchasing, and supply chain. Local Reporting & Compliance: Manage mandatory reporting to Australian authorities (e.g., BAS, FBT, Payroll tax). Ensure adherence to policies related to procurement, travel, and financial compliance. Project Management: Contribute to financial system upgrades (e.g., SAP S/4HANA). Oversee the management and filing of key financial documentation. Budget & Forecasting: Assist with budget and forecast data uploads and reconciliation using Anaplan. The right candidate: Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA or CPA qualification is essential. Experience: 3-5 years in a commercial finance role, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems. Previous experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous. Competencies: Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and Australian tax laws. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage finance projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
