Program Manager

Program Manager Contract for 12 months with possible extension| Brisbane & Work from Home Join a large Queensland government department as a Program Manager, overseeing the delivery of the Human Capital Management Solution (HCMS) for a major government initiative. Key responsibilities include: Program Leadership & Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the HCMS program, to ensure the integration of SuccessFactors EC, ECP, and HCM modules is successfully achieved. Provide leadership to program teams, including internal resources, third-party vendors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative environment. Oversee all aspects of the program lifecycle, from initial scoping and design to testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparency in program progress, issues, and risks. Facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and discussions, ensuring clear communication of project status and alignment of priorities. Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks to the program's success, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Team and Resource Management: Manage the program team’s resources, ensuring tasks are properly assigned and deadlines are met against approved project schedules. Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage the program budget, ensuring that resources and expenditures align with the financial goals of the program. Ensure accurate tracking of project costs and timely reporting on financial status, highlighting any areas of concern to the Executive Director HCMS. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and standards as it relates to QLD Government, including data privacy, security, and auditing requirements. About You Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in risk management, issue resolution, and vendor management. Ability to handle pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Strong organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Certifications (Preferred): Prince2, or Project Management certification. SAP SuccessFactors certification or relevant HRIS certification. Minimum of 5-7 years of program management experience, At least 3 years on enterprise-wide HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) implementation, preferably with SuccessFactors EC, ECP, and HCM. Proven experience in managing large, complex programs in government or similar regulated industries. Proven ability to communicate at all levels across the Department. Strong understanding of HCMS modules, cloud-based HR solutions, and SAP SuccessFactors. Experience in managing cross-functional program teams, including stakeholder governance forums including IT, HR, legal, and finance. Proven ability to handle program-level budgets, project management tools, and reporting systems. Strong stakeholder management abilities, particularly in a complex, bureaucratic environment. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to think strategically while handling detailed execution challenges.
