This is a unique opportunity to drive the end-to-end development of large-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, contributing to Australia’s transition to a sustainable energy landscape. Key Responsibilities: Project Development Lead the entire lifecycle of solar and BESS projects, from site identification and feasibility through approvals, financing, and delivery. Manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Secure necessary permits and licenses, liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups. Identify and mitigate risks to streamline project progression and achieve development milestones. Business Development & Growth Strategy Contribute to the creation of compelling business cases for new renewable energy projects. Oversee due diligence for potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Stay ahead of industry trends, providing insights into emerging technologies and market opportunities. Support the company’s expansion in the Australian renewable energy market by identifying and developing new project opportunities. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the project pipeline and strategic growth initiatives. Reporting & Communication Monitor and report on project budgets, timelines, and risks to internal and external stakeholders. Lead stakeholder communications, ensuring transparent and effective community engagement throughout project development. About You: The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar and BESS projects. Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and permitting processes. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
