Sydney based Permanent opportunity Opportunity to join Westpac’s Institutional Bank (WIB) Established Career Path and progression opportunities How will I help? Westpac’s Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) is looking for a motivated individual to join our Agency Services function, to act on behalf of lending syndicates, and partner with and manage the loan transactions and needs of a portfolio of Institutional and Corporate clients, often at the CFO/Treasurer level. You will build and manage a portfolio of complex transactions and will own all day-to-day agency matters relating to the syndicated loan, including amendments and restructures, consents and waivers, reporting and compliance, settlements, defaults and security. You will work closely and build strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will contribute to and join a leading Facility Agent and Security Trustee team in the Australian Market. You will: Manage own portfolio of complex, structured transactions contributing toward Agency revenue target Provide a premium service and build close relationships with clients and banks Minimise and manage risk and errors that have potential for financial and/or reputational risk to the bank Maintain well documented and efficient operational processes and files Work as an integral part of the Agency and broader Lending Service teams, providing support where required. You will be highly organised and self-motivated with experience and understanding of corporate lending, including good knowledge of corporate loan documentation and legal concepts preferably from a Corporate or Institutional Banking environment. You will possess strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills and will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders at varying levels to facilitate a transaction while providing premium customer service. In addition, you must have strong communication skills and some knowledge of operation settlement processes would be advantageous. Some further advantageous skills: Experience working in Agency Services, corporate lending or legal background is highly regarded. Strong initiative and ability to work as part of the team, proactively engaging in discussions and projects. Ability to understand complex loan structures, matters and documentation Some knowledge of operations/payments/settlement processes would be useful skill What’s it like to work there?
