Senior Fraud Claims Investigator

The role: Based in our Claims & Assessing division, as our new Senior Fraud Investigator you will be the Subject Matter Expert, undertaking consultative & claims investigative work. This role is a fixed-term position, available till the end of October, 2025. You will: Conduct in-depth investigations of evidence and/or allegations of suspicious activity such as fraud or syndicates activities including interviews with customers, witnesses and other parties Investigate complex suspicious claims or suspicious fraudulent insurance related activities covering all areas of the Claims & Assessing business Acquire documentation or permission required to authorize investigatory activities; adheres to the scope and parameters set forth therein Collaborate and coordinates with law enforcement officers and attorneys concerning investigative efforts & document all investigative activities and prepare written reports of findings Manage all aspects of the claims investigation relating to suspicious claims including providing reports and guidance to other instructed experts such as building assessors and loss adjusters Identifying and raising potential risks or compliance issues to Management Undertake open file reviews with the Fraud & Investigations Team, coaching and developing staff to optimize Fraud Investigation methodologies including delivering training programs Provide referral / high level technical support on potentially Fraudulent claims across both Claims & Assessing and IDR prior to and post submission to FOS What experience you’ll bring: Certificate III Investigative Services highly regarded with 2 Years investigations experience within a financial sector desirable A thorough knowledge of evidence collection and expertise in pursuing lines of enquiry within the Insurance Industry Ability to pass a National Police Check Understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act, Criminal Law, disclosure, non-disclosure, and materiality Strong Verbal and written communication skills & Extensive Insurance Fraud Investigative Experience Extensive Knowledge of Internal systems, Databases, and Investigative Tools Our perks: Location – Kawana This role is based at our Kawana office.
