Job Description

Revesby (NSW) location Manufacturing of Conveyor Belts for Mining and Industrial applications Day shift - Supervisory position The Company Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company, is a world leader in providing engineered conveyor solutions for the mining and industrial sectors. Operating 3 manufacturing sites, 23 Service Branches as well as Engineering Design & Fabrication facilities employing over 1200 employees. Your Role This role, reporting to the Plant Manager forms part of our high performing Production team. You will be responsible for leading the day shift team ensuring production targets are met safely, on time and in adherence to site budget. Responsibilities Attend weekly production meetings and provide detailed production planning update for area of responsibility. Manage manning for all machinery across the day shift operation, covering any leave with additional staff to ensure relevant production targets are met. Monitor production scheduling to ensure all resources are used to optimise output, Report, and escalate any production issues that will impact, or delay manufactured goods being delivered to customers on time. Ensure that all production materials, inputs, and consumables are received, handled and stored correctly to minimise damage, spoilage and waste. Manage the effectiveness, performance, and outcomes of team members by providing positive and clear direction. Participate in recruitment, inductions, performance management and employee development. Actively work with others to resolve plant operating issues and identify improvement opportunities through making recommendations to current manufacturing processes and systems to improve manufacturing competitiveness and productivity. Monitor production KPI’s, and outcomes, record results and complete periodic, weekly, monthly, annual reports as instructed by set date. Production KPI’s reporting may include, quality, waste, safety, output, utilisation/downtime, costing etc. About you We are looking for a team player who is self-driven possesses the following skills and experience: Prior experience leading large teams preferably in a manufacturing environment Previous experience with the following :- systems, quality, continuous improvement, and Safety Works well under pressure, can prioritise and has the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to solve complex problems under pressure through to resolution. Mechanical trade experience will be highly regarded however is not essential. What’s in it for you?
