Job Description Job Description Job Description: The Patient Services Representative (PSR) represents the face of our office and is the first impression for our patients and their loved ones. The PSR acts as a liaison associate for patient appointments, accommodation, and access to the physician. This includes booking appointments, including follow-ups, greeting patients, using appropriate medical terminology while verifying eligibility, processing necessary information to support that activity, and triaging with physicians and medical assistants on acute scheduling problems and referral coordination. Key Responsibilities: Book patient appointments, including follow-ups. Greet patients and use appropriate medical terminology while verifying eligibility. Process necessary information to support patient appointments. Triage with physicians and medical assistants on acute scheduling problems. Coordinate referrals. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent. 1-2 years of relevant experience in public contact, preferably in a medical office environment. Minimum 1-year front office or reception experience. Experience with insurance plans. Practice Management and Physical Therapy experience (desired). Experience working with multiple providers. Familiarity with systems such as Nextgen and web PT (nice to have but not required). Knowledge of one health port (insurance systems).
