Job Description: Technical Architect – Oracle Health Projects (NHS Clinical Outpatient Focus) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team, working on Oracle Health projects for our NHS client. The primary focus of this role is to design and implement technical solutions that optimize clinical outpatient workflows, reduce patient wait times, and improve overall healthcare delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, including clinical and IT teams, to ensure solutions align with NHS standards and deliver measurable improvements in patient care. 12 Month contract - Outside IR35 - Rates are dependant on experience This position will be hybrid with a two days a week needed on-site in London (can be flexible) Key Responsibilities: Technical Solution Design: Lead the design and development of technical architectures for Oracle Health solutions tailored to outpatient services. Ensure solutions support the NHS’s strategic objectives to reduce wait times and enhance patient experience. Identify and mitigate risks in solution designs to ensure robust and secure implementations. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clinical leads, NHS IT departments, and Oracle Health experts to understand business requirements and align them with technical solutions. Act as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts. Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Health solutions, including integration with existing NHS systems (e.g., Electronic Patient Records and scheduling systems). Ensure compliance with NHS Information Governance, security standards, and clinical safety requirements. Drive agile development practices, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Optimization and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process automation, workflow optimization, and advanced analytics within outpatient services. Leverage Oracle Health’s capabilities, such as AI and machine learning, to predict patient demand and streamline appointment scheduling. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches to address NHS outpatient challenges. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices are followed in architecture, coding, and system design. Conduct architectural reviews, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of solutions. Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Architect in healthcare IT, ideally working on Oracle Health (or Cerner Millennium) projects. Strong understanding of NHS clinical workflows, particularly within outpatient services. Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, complex IT systems, including: Integration with Electronic Patient Records (EPRs), HL7/FHIR interfaces, and NHS systems. Data management, interoperability, and reporting. Security and compliance standards (e.g., NHS IG Toolkit, GDPR, and ISO27001). Proficiency in Oracle Health’s product suite, including capabilities around scheduling, analytics, and patient management. Strong knowledge of healthcare standards and frameworks, including PRSB standards and the NHS Digital Data Model. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Oracle Health solutions or equivalent experience. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Previous experience working with NHS Trusts or other healthcare organizations. Knowledge of clinical safety practices (e.g., Clinical Safety Case Reports). Why Join Us?
