Operations Director

Are you an experienced strategist within FMCG Operations and supply chain with main board exposure? Do you have extensive experience of creating a long-term vision, inspiring a large team and exceeding business targets? Do you have experience of taking an already successful FMCG operation from good to excellent? MacGregor Black are partnering with a FMCG business on the search for an Operations Director. This is a perm role based in Scotland. Key Responsibilities: Provide clear manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and engineering vision, detailed strategy and compelling leadership to implement the long-term plan that will exceed the business vision. Guide the board on all things operational. Create and implement a culture change program that will create an environment that will attract further industry talent. Develop and lead the implementation of change management initiatives, whilst leading the supply chain team to play its key part in the delivery of major change impacting the wider business. Define and gain agreement for all budgets and forecasts, ensuring your sites delivers / beats its overall financial commitments. Ensure your sites have appropriate processes and systems in place to drive best practice, operational standards with a focus on developing and embedding LEAN processes. Overall responsibility for operational performance. What are we looking for? Successful track record of strategy delivery in executive leadership roles is essential. Experience of leading cross functional teams in the consumer manufacturing sector with experience of high-speed production. Exposure to a number of different functions and evidence of being able to apply knowledge in other areas. Commercially astute with the ability to see the broader business context gained through experience of working with commercial functions. Strong influencing and communication skills to deliver results through others. Proven track record in developing people and teams to create high performance.
