Job Description
We are looking for someone to join our Distribution Sales team at Kingfisher Lighting. You will manage the East Midlands region as your own business, driving sales and exceeding annual and monthly budgets. You will proactively plan, execute, and monitor customer interactions, leveraging insights from reports and tools provided. This role demands a results-driven, strategic thinker who can independently manage their time, forge relationships, and consistently seek growth opportunities within their region. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including electrical wholesalers, contractors, councils, and designers. Plan and execute face-to-face meetings with clients (using pool vehicles) Collaborative Growth: Work closely with the Distribution Sales Representatives and Project Sales Engineers in your region to identify growth opportunities within your region and develop strategies to secure business, ensuring alignment and customer satisfaction. Partner with the Marketing team to leverage campaigns, materials, and initiatives to enhance customer engagement and grow the business. Proactive Sales Planning: Use reports and tools to plan calls, meetings, and schedules effectively. Develop and implement action plans based on regional performance reviews and reports. Strategic Growth: Continuously identify and execute opportunities for expanding business within your region. Customer/Trade Association Engagement Activities: Participate in trade shows, training sessions, and events as required, occasionally involving extra hours. Manage Customer Issues: Take ownership of customer complaints or issues, investigate thoroughly, and work to provide timely and effective resolutions. Qualifications/Skills Required: Proven experience in a target-driven sales environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a variety of people at different levels. Strong organisational and planning abilities with a proactive approach. Computer literacy and familiarity with CRM and sales tools. Full UK driving licence required. Self-motivated and results-oriented. Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team goals. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
