Job Description

Greenstaff HomeCare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and support a gentleman with an acquired brain injury and autism in Warmington. The role involves providing support both in the client's home and within the local community, with an emphasis on promoting independence as the client works towards independent living. The client may display challenging behaviour, so experience in managing such situations is essential. You will work with a bespoke care plan to offer person-centred support and help the client achieve their goals. The client enjoys engaging in sporting activities and attending community events, and having similar interests would be beneficial in developing a strong, positive rapport. Please attach a CV with your application Key requirements: Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship NOT provided) DBS Check on the Update Service (one can be applied for upon application if you do not have one) Proof of Mandatory Training (If none, free training will be provided as part of the compliance process) 2 x References A minimum of 3-6 months' experience of being a carer/support worker in any community setting (domiciliary care, private own homes, supported living) Full UK driving license, preferably with business insurance Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury and autism. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide support in the client’s home and in the community, helping them work towards independent living. Assist with managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a compassionate and effective manner. Follow and implement the client’s bespoke care plan, promoting independence and supporting daily activities. Encourage community involvement, particularly with sporting activities and events.
