Commercial Finance Business Partner

MacGregor Black are working on behalf of a Leading Food Manufacturing business to recruit an experienced and commercially aware Commercial Finance Business Partner . This is a permanent role based in County Down. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation where you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting key business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Provide detailed weekly and monthly sales and margin analysis, along with insightful commentaries and KPI summaries. Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable recommendations to enhance profitability and cost efficiencies. Develop and maintain customer cost models, supporting commercial teams to identify growth opportunities while mitigating pricing risks. Collaborate with the Senior Commercial Team to evaluate business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and improve margins. Support the preparation of tenders by delivering scenario models and key financial insights to aid negotiations. Partner with cross-functional teams to assess new projects, product launches, and commercial initiatives from a financial perspective. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals. Prepare and present monthly management reports, highlighting key financial insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders. Evaluate and monitor promotional plans, tracking their performance and return on investment. Drive standardization and continuous improvement in financial and commercial processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy in reporting. Support the monitoring of inflation and price recovery, making recommendations for price adjustments and assisting in negotiations to safeguard profitability. Provide expertise on financial systems (e.g., Qlik) to enhance reporting capabilities and empower decision-making. What are we looking for: Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries. Strong understanding of commercial operations, including pricing strategies, cost management, and margin analysis. Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Qlik, SAP, or similar). Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge, influence, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
