Mechanical Engineer

Hobson Prior is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a team dedicated to developing innovative technologies for a biotechnology company. This position can be either permanent or a short term contract. Responsibilities: Design and build advanced systems Create and present project concepts and proposals. Develop engineering projects from initial ideas to final products. Work with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Communicate project timelines effectively with team leads. Troubleshoot and repair system issues as needed. Provide technical support to various teams to align with project goals. Adapt to changing project needs and deliver solutions efficiently. Key Skills and Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent skills. Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in biotech/medical device/life sciences Familiarity with product design, prototyping, and manufacturing. Knowledge of health and safety standards in regulated environments. Proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks. Ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly.
