Senior Solicitor – Private Wealth Location: Manchester Department: Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning Job Type: Full-time Salary: £75,000 Hybrid Working Available About the Role My client, a leading legal practice with a nationally recognized Private Wealth department, is seeking a Senior Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Manchester. The Opportunity You will provide expert advice to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, business owners, entrepreneurs, and trustees on estate planning, tax mitigation, trust structures, and estate administration. Working on high-value and intricate matters, you will collaborate with accountants, investment managers, and financial advisers to deliver bespoke solutions. In addition to handling lifetime and estate planning, you will have the chance to develop skills in contentious trust and probate matters, charity formation, and income and capital gains tax planning. With access to a team of over 40 specialists, you’ll benefit from a collaborative environment where your professional growth is actively supported. Key Responsibilities Advising HNW clients on succession planning, estate and tax mitigation strategies, and trust structures. Drafting wills, administering estates, and advising on taxation matters. Supervising junior fee earners and supporting their development. Contributing to business development and client relationship building. The Ideal Candidate A proven track record in Private Wealth law with a focus on HNW clients. Strong supervisory skills and experience mentoring junior staff. Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification (preferred). Client following and/or professional market contacts are highly desirable.
