Lead Software Engineer – AI Up to £100k Benefits and Bonus London offices flexible Hybrid Working An opportunity to join a product team developing a Greenfield AI product to be used by Retail customer base in the UK. The business requires an experienced Software Engineer / Lead Software Engineer to lead the team and steer technical product direction. The Lead Software Engineer will join a growing team of experienced engineers, so the business requires candidates with previous team leadership experience and hands-on software engineering backgrounds. The product is AI based so any experience with AI, Machine Learning or Data Science based product development is highly desirable. Core responsibilities: Lead a team of engineers on the development of an AI product Work with the Product team and Engineering Manager in steering tech architecture Play a key role is improving and implementing software engineering best practice and process Remain hands-on as needed in a Python, Django, React, GCP tech stack Required Experience: Technical or Team leadership experience (2 years) A hands-on background in Python, Django and GCP or AWS Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing engineers and senior stakeholders. Experience developing products in enterprise environments or large customer focussed businesses is desirable Full stack experience (React.js, Next.js) is desirable The company offer flexible hybrid working and the interview process is completed remotely
