Sales Support Specialist

Our client has been established for almost 40 yrs and is a 50 person / £5m turnover manufacturer of machinery and tooling for the UPVC doors and windows sector. The two company directors are heavily involved in sales and due to growth now need a Sales Support Specialist to assist with their activities. Sales Support Specialist Bedworth, Warwickshire, mainly onsite with occasional working from home. £40-45K plus excellent benefits package. To be successful in this role: The machinery and tooling being manufactured by the company is largely bespoke, and orders are typically low volume/ high value. These products can be very complex from a technical viewpoint, and for this reason someone who has had exposure to engineering drawings and supporting a sales function in an engineering/ technical environment is preferred. Candidates should be willing to be largely site based and live within a reasonable commutable distance of Bedworth. Job role and responsibilities: The role of Sales Support Specialist is far more than just an administrative function and provides sales support for the two directors. Specific responsibilities for this role include: Sales support: Proactive support for the Directors sales activities Opportunity triage: managing the pipeline of opportunities allowing the directors to focus on specific customer opportunities and quoting Quote management (migrating towards quote creation): managing the list of quotes, ensuring they are either converted, closed, or parked (with actions/comments) Website/PR support: maintenance, to reduce the requirement on external support for admin activities Change management/support: involvement in internal projects driving the sales parts of these e.g. part number roll out Pre-Sales: support with external pre-sales projects with customers, ensuring they are managed as a project CRM management: ensuring sales customer information is up to date and maintained in the MRP System (Factory Master) Pre-sales customer service/queries: managing miscellaneous customer queries and interactions Maintaining key account plans: keeping these up to date and progressing actions to completion
