Job Description
Location: South East incorporating London and Norfolk Benefits: Holiday buying scheme 25 days holiday Public holidays Financial planning services Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance Profit sharing Performance bonus Car Allowance Sick pay As an Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for covering merchants and DIY customers within your designated area. This role requires proactive engagement with customers, adherence to structured schedules, and consistent reporting of progress and results. Your primary objective is to drive sales, maintain strong customer relationships, and achieve KPIs set by the channel. Responsibilities: Daily Expectations: 1 - Call Requirements Conduct 6 customer calls minimum per day from Monday to Thursday. Conduct 3 customer calls on Friday, with the remaining time allocated for admin tasks. 2 - Timing of Calls The first call of the day should begin no later than 9:30AM. The last call of the day should conclude no earlier than 4:30PM. 3 - Overnight Stays For any overnight stays, you are expected to perform full working days in the area on both the day of arrival and the day of departures. 4 - Journey Planning Develop and adhere to journey plans that focus on specific postcode areas each d Plans should optimise efficiency and ensure comprehensive coverage of your territory. Admin Expectations: 1 - KPI Reporting Track and report on KPIs monthly during reviews with your line manager. Ensure that all KPIs set by the channel are adhered to and progress is clearly documented. 2 - Friday Admin Allocate sufficient time on Fridays for completing admin duties, such as updating customer records, preparing reports, and planning the following week’s schedule. Performance Monitoring and Accountability: 1 - Compliance Strict adherence to the roles and responsibilities outlined in this document is required. Ensure journey plans and call schedules are executed as planned, with minimal deviations unless approved by your line manager. Key Objectives: Drive sales and growth within your designated territory. Maintain and strengthen relationships with merchants and DIY customers. Ensure efficient use of time and resources through effective planning and execution. Provide accurate reports.
