Head of Data Science London – Hybrid (3 days in office) Up to £130,000 Benefits About the Role A fast-growing FinTech is looking for a Head of Data Science to lead their data strategy during a transformative period. This is a unique opportunity to shape credit risk modelling and decision frameworks while driving innovation in the use of machine learning. You'll manage a team of 10 and play a key role in shaping the future of their lending operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of ML-driven credit risk and decision models. Shape the organisation’s responsible lending framework and portfolio analytics. Drive elasticity modelling and decision-making strategies. Coach and mentor a talented team of data professionals. Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights that drive growth. What We’re Looking For Strong first-line experience in consumer lending, ideally in FinTech. Proven expertise in building decision models (e.g., scorecards). Management experience with a focus on coaching and development. Proficiency in SQL (Python is a plus).
