Bioprocessing Scientist

Hobson Prior is seeking a dedicated and skilled Bioprocessing Scientist to focus on the production of sterile gene therapy products. The successful candidate will work in a cleanroom environment, ensuring that all activities meet high safety and quality standards. This position is on a fixed term contract of 12 months. Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location. Responsibilities: Carry out production tasks and use sterile methods to create gene therapy products. Oversee facility operations to ensure they meet safety and quality guidelines. Perform regular cleaning, monitor the environment, and manage supplies. Keep manufacturing and storage areas ready for use. Help with ordering and storing materials, following compliance rules. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Support technology transfer and help plan to meet production goals. Follow health, safety, and documentation standards. Key Skills and Requirements: Skilled in using sterile techniques and preventing contamination. Able to solve problems effectively and work well with others. Confident in leading tasks and working with teams. Aware of budget and resource management. Dedicated to improving quality and ensuring high standards. Background in a scientific field with hands-on lab experience. Familiar with pharmaceutical manufacturing, especially biologics or sterile processes.
