Job Description

Main purpose of job: To operate as part of the Operations function supporting Blenheim Syndicate 5886 and White Bear MGA platforms in performing relevant credit control activities as directed, including assisting with the collection and reconciliation of premiums, minimising bad debt and maximisation of cash flow. Key tasks: Assist the credit control analyst in managing credit control and reporting requirements for MGA and Blenheim 5886. Support communication with brokers to chase overdue premiums and remittances. Help implement credit control processes and procedures for use by Underwriting teams. Daily update of various existing logs and seek to improve process. Handle day-to-day issues within Credit Control as they arise. Systematically manage the credit control inbox, ensuring timely processing of broker closings, statements of account, and remittance advice. Maintain clear and regular communication with Brokers, Cover holders, Finance, IT & Data Management, Underwriting teams and Group Operations management. Assist in reconciling MGA bank accounts, isolating and allocating premium receipts, and resolving cash-related queries. Contribute to the creation and reporting of Management Information (MI) to support internal and external requirements. Maintenance of MGA ledger transactions and receipts. Assist with month-end close procedures as needed. Key personal skills required: Strong analytical, mathematical and organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities, by focusing on timely delivery of quality outputs. Flexible and adaptable with a hands-on approach and a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve common goals. Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards and regulations. Keen interest in learning about the London Market and the insurance industry. Key technical skills, knowledge and professional skills required: Professionally qualified or willing to study towards a professional qualification (CII or equivalent). Strong analytical, mathematical, and organisational skills. Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel. Risk and Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with relevant PRA and FCA conduct rules. Responsibility for the proper performance of all regulatory roles held in the course of employment. Responsibility for the proper performance of any FCA/PRA Prescribed Responsibilities assigned from time to time and contained within a Statement of Responsibilities. Ensure compliance with assigned risk management responsibilities.
