Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Model Britain Location: Flexible Type: Non-salaried (Sweat Equity) – Initially part-time, with potential for full-time Model Britain is set to redefine the future of immersive tourism with its cutting-edge miniature world, blending iconic British landmarks with interactive, state-of-the-art model-making. We are seeking a highly experienced, entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the financial growth and strategic direction of this exciting new venture. As the CFO, you will be an integral part of the leadership team, working closely with the founders and advisory board to drive the financial success of Model Britain. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking financial professional to join at the ground level, with an initial commitment of just a couple of days per month, transitioning to a full-time role as the business grows. Key Responsibilities: Lead fundraising efforts, preparing and presenting compelling financial models and investment pitches Develop and execute financial strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of Model Britain Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, financial forecasting, and reporting Provide high-level financial insight and strategic advice to the leadership team Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax obligations Requirements: Extensive experience in CFO roles within startup environments, with a proven track record in fundraising and financial management Strong expertise in financial planning, modelling, and strategic financial oversight Previous experience in the tourism, attractions, or entertainment sectors would be highly beneficial A hands-on, strategic mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving startup environment Qualifications Strong finance-based analytical skills 7 - 10 years of finance experience CPA or MBA preferred but not required This is more than a financial role; it's an opportunity to shape the financial foundation of an innovative, world-class attraction.
