Senior Technical Analyst Location: Hereford, England, United Kingdom Type: Permanent Work Arrangement: Hybrid (on-site once every two weeks) On-Call Rotation: One week every six weeks (with additional pay) Who Are we? You even have the option to buy an extra week Birthday Delight: Take your special day off to celebrate YOU Free Parking Health & Wellbeing programme; we’ll look after you The Role Scope Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will work within a multi-disciplined Production Support Team, primarily responsible for the support, maintenance and development of internal and external infrastructure, in line with our technology roadmap. You will work with the latest infrastructure technologies both on premise and within the cloud. As new technologies are considered, you would assess their suitability for our business needs. ✨Role key responsibilities Providing 2nd / 3rd line systems support to areas of the business Maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting the server, storage and network infrastructure. Working to a high standard, following company procedures with all work being fully documented. Actively participating and contributing in Team meetings. Ensure all changes are carefully reviewed and follow the change control process. Sharing and promoting knowledge, skills and best working practices within the team, mentoring junior members when needed. Actively participate in project implementations, including design review, system testing and configuration. Collaborate with the Head of Operations to define principles, standards, processes and working practices. Ensuring all solutions can be supported, are minimal, documented and are within the scope of IT Infrastructure Architecture. Analyse business needs, design, and implement technical solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity. Researching problems, identifying causes, and recommending corrective measures. About You ✨Skill/competency Essential: 5 years of experience in technical support Must possess a strong work ethic and be self-motivated and reliable Experience with leading and/or supporting projects Experience with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting VMWare Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities Good background in networking Cloud computing experience Management and implementation of WiFi networks The management of firewalls and VPNs Experience with email security standards (DMARC, DKIM and SPF) Experience with backup & replication technologies Experience with patch, anti-virus and vulnerability management Experience of Windows Server and Active Directory up to latest supportable versions You must have a full driving license Desirable Skills: Powershell scripting ability Experience with Identity Management solutions Experience with Linux administration SAN storage support and maintenance Experience working under the Agile framework About Us At MandM, our employees are driven by a shared commitment to excellence and making a real impact in the industry.
