Private Client Solicitor

I am currently working with a highly established and regarded, award winning Legal 500 law firm who are seeking an accomplished and motivated Private Client Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their thriving private client department. Role Overview: Advising clients on complex estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate matters. Structuring and implementing tax-efficient wealth management strategies, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and other relevant UK and international tax regimes. Assisting clients with succession planning, including family governance and cross-border estate issues. Providing legal support to business owners, philanthropists, and trustees, including the creation and administration of charitable trusts. Collaborating with other departments to deliver integrated solutions for clients with multifaceted legal needs. Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, earning a reputation as their go-to advisor. Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors, sharing knowledge and fostering professional development within the team. Actively engaging in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and creating thought leadership content. What We’re Looking For: To succeed in this role, you should possess: A qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales, with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in private client law. Proven experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estates and trusts. Expertise in UK tax, trusts, and estate law, with a strong understanding of cross-border issues. STEP qualification is highly desirable but not essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a sophisticated client base. A proactive, solution-focused approach with outstanding attention to detail. A genuine passion for private client work and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
