Psychologist /Mental Health Social Worker/Mental Health Occupational Therapist - DBT Group Co Facilitator & General Inpatient/Addictive Behaviours groups- Part-time 3 days per week - 8:30-16:30 An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Psychologist/Mental Health Social Worker/Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join The Geelong Clinic as a group co-facilitator for the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Day Program for 2 days per week and 1 day per week working with our General/ABP inpatients. These days can be Wednesday/Thursday/Friday or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. The Geelong Clinic is a 73 bed Psychiatric Hospital offering a range of inpatient, day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions, the clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing, allied health, administration and domestic services staff. Onsite parking available. The DBT Group Facilitator role involves co-facilitation of the DBT Skills Group which runs as a full day group program twice weekly. There will also be group planning between modules, and support with your co-facilitator and the Clinical Services Manager. The role may also require you to provide cover across other day program/inpatient group programs at The Geelong Clinic, and you will work in a multidisciplinary team based approach supported by other experienced mental health professionals. Essential Criteria · Appropriate qualifications in Psychology · Experience delivering group- based therapeutic interventions in a mental health setting · High level organisation, communication and collaboration skills Desirable Criteria · Experience facilitating DBT skills group (highly desirable) · Completed certified DBT Training · Interest and experience in the addictive behaviours sector, including knowledge of detox processes, harm minimization, relapse preventions and new initiatives To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application process.
