Senior Checkpoint Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Checkpoint Engineer to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge security solutions, implementing Checkpoint technologies at a granular level and helping clients achieve the highest standards of security across their environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Checkpoint solutions, including firewall, VPN, and threat prevention systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and optimize Checkpoint-based configurations and integrations in complex enterprise environments. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum security effectiveness. Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of security architectures. Provide expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. Document and maintain detailed design specifications, configurations, and knowledge base articles. Essential Skills & Experience: Extensive experience with Checkpoint technologies (Firewall, VPN, Identity Awareness, etc.). Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize security solutions using Checkpoint products. Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and security architecture. Hands-on experience with Checkpoint security appliances and related security products. Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex issues. Experience with advanced Checkpoint configurations and management tools. Knowledge of automation and scripting for system management and configuration. Ability to work effectively in a team, while also taking ownership of projects and deliverables. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Desirable Skills: Certifications such as Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE or similar industry-recognized credentials. Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and multi-site designs. Familiarity with cloud security solutions and integrations (AWS, Azure, etc.). Familiarity with security best practices, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
