Head of Treasury

Head of Finance (Treasury) My client is a Local Authority in North London who are looking to appoint an experience Head of Finance on an interim basis. About the role: Based in North London (Hybrid): To be the lead officer for the preparation, maintenance and delivery of the Council's Treasury strategy and policy. To continually reassess the Council's treasury position in light of current developments both within the Council's capital programme, and within financial markets generally in order for the Council to optimise its position in relation to long term financing options Responsibilities: Manage the team that has day-to-day accountability for implementation of pension policy and oversight of external service providers including investment managers, third party administrator, consultants and advisors. Provide guidance and support to the councils Pension Fund Committee and Local Pension Board in carrying out their duties. Lead the development and implementation of the Council's Treasury Management Strategy linked to the Council's Medium-Term Plan. What's on offer: Salary: £536 - £700 per day, inside IR35. negotiable based on experience please submit your CV with the rate you require Remote/Hybrid working Contract type: Contract (36hrs a week) Hours: 09:00 -17:30 Monday to Friday About you: You will have the following experience: Degree level or equivalent qualification plus relevant experience. Membership of appropriate professional body by examination e.g. CCAB or treasury qualifications, or substantial relevant experience. Substantial experience of working at a senior management position in treasury or finance with evidence of having advised trustees or directors on treasury.
