We'd love to hear from you About the Role We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SMCR Advisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in the administration and governance of all three SMCR regimes across the organization. As the Subject Matter Expert for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), you will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of all three SMCR regimes on behalf of HL Group. You will also provide critical support to all regulated colleagues and play a key role in enhancing the colleague experience year on year. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both the SMCR Manager and senior leadership, ensuring effective implementation, ongoing compliance, and best practice across HL. What you'll be doing Administration support for the Senior Managers Regime; updates to MRM, SORs and delegation maps and F&P support for SMF and NED populations Analysis of Reasonable Steps documentation for SMFs and port of call for queries from the business Management of relationships with Compliance Monitoring and Audit teams Management of the team mailbox, including first port of call to answer queries and to escalate effectively Management of the SMCR portal, ensuring documentation remains accurate and fit for purpose Assessment of cases against the Conduct Rule breach framework, including monthly controls testing and reporting of themes Responsible for REP008 annual submission of Conduct Rules per entity using RegData Drafting changes to SMCR and associated e-learning modules annually Assisting team members with administration of all certification Regime processes; including on-boarding F&P, annual F&P, regulated references, dispensations and management of the FCA Directory using FCA Connect Initial assessment of new roles against certification criteria before escalation to Manager Assist in relationship with 3rd party Vero Screening to screen our SMF/certified colleagues About you Experience of working in an SMCR role within a commercial organisation and liaising with all levels of stakeholder. An aptitude for learning new systems will complement your thorough knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications. An effective and engaging communicator, able to present complex information in simple context, adapting your style to suit your audience Able to work in a team or alone and effectively collaborate to achieve common goals plus the ability to self-manage competing workloads & effectively prioritise Operate professionally with discretion, able to manage sensitive data appropriately Interview process This will entail a 1-2 stage interview process including competency-based questions. Working Schedule This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is a permanent role, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
