Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Corby Industry: Heavy Manufacturing Salary: £35000 Shift: Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00 Other Details: Permanent contract based onsite with client. Pertemps are seeking a Quality Engineer, ideally from an automation or automotive background to work with our client based in Corby. This role has become available through progression of the incumbent Quality Engineer. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field is desired. Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9000 / TS 16949 Quality System standard. Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy, principles and objectives of the total quality process is required. Ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organisation from floor employees to senior management. Working knowledge of human relations, group dynamics, and problem solving techniques is required. Analytical ability and creativity in the areas of problem solving and group dynamics with a high degree of initiative. Laboratory experience, including metallurgical knowledge is preferred. ASP or ASME certification is preferred. Some Key Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining, implementing and improving the Quality Program through execution of the following: Development and conduction of training to establish a knowledge base. Hands-on use of tools with the purpose of spreading knowledge through execution, while at the same time generating improvements to processes or situations. Facilitate the SPC program, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness. Take responsibility for Gage R&R procedures, practices and systems, along with their effectiveness.
