The Role A t Unite Students, we understand that business and technology in partnership is the key to successful technology delivery. This role of Enterprise Architect is critical to the success of this partnership, as we strive to implement a technology landscape that is fully transparent, efficient and cost optimal to the needs of our business. We are looking for an experienced, technically minded enterprise architect to drive and own the end-to-end technology strategy and associated roadmaps, principles and standards, aligned to best practices and business need. Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Assurance, this role is a senior critical role that will play a pivotal part in shaping the technology landscape of our organisation and ensuring that IT solutions are pragmatic, scalable, secure, and efficient. What You ` ll Be Doing Create and own our technology strategy for Finance, HR, Asset & Data, collaborating closely with senior business sponsors and teams, to extract maximum business value from our technology. Create and maintain a comprehensive set of technology standards and best practices that support our business objectives and long-term growth, ensuring consistency and quality in all technology projects. Create and maintain a technology roadmap that outlines the evolution of our technology infrastructure, applications, data, integration, and security services. Collaborate with solutions architects, technical designers and business stakeholders to oversee and design technology solutions that address specific needs, taking into account factors such as scalability, security, resilience, and interoperability. Ensure that all technology solutions meet security and regulatory compliance requirements, implementing security measures to protect our data and systems. Create and maintain conceptual models (applications, data, infrastructure etc.), aligned to our business strategy, and have a broad understanding of how each model fulfils the needs of the organisation. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends, and propose innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and competitiveness. Collaborate with technology teams, business functions, and external partners to implement solutions that meet business needs and align with architectural principles and standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation of enterprise architecture, including diagrams, technical specifications, and policies. Assist in managing the impact of changes on our technology landscape, ensuring that changes are implemented with minimal disruption. Assist in forecasting future technology resource requirements and planning for capacity scaling What We ` re Looking for in You Demonstrable experience architecting and overseeing Finance, HR, Asset, and Data cloud-based systems (Microsoft, Oracle, Redshift, DataBricks etc.) and integrations inclusding Mobile App, Web, Facilities Management, CRM etc. An experienced enterprise architect or related role, in a variety of industries, you will have the lessons learned from previous positions both good, and bad taking full advantage of advances in artificial intelligence and low code/no code technologies. Expert in defining, owning and driving technology strategy and roadmaps using tooling like Orbus Infinity. Expertise in business architecture capability modelling and process improvement. Expertise in data architecture capability modelling and data strategy implementation. Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology solutions and data with business goals. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and performance. Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills, with strong business acumen and ability to understand organisational needs. Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor ` s or Master ` s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area, is desirable. Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) are highly desirable.
