Job title: Support Worker Location: Southern Hill Hospital Mundesley Road, Norwich Rate Of Pay: £11.44 Per Hour Shift Patterns: Days and or Nights 40 hour a week contract Information about the Role: Working as a Support Worker at Southern Hill Hospital your duties will include the following: Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care. Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families. Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times. Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills. Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision. If applicable, assist in the administration of medication. Information about the Service: Southern Hill Hospital has 44 mental health beds across four units, as well as a 5 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The Hospital is able to offer a 24 hour acute admission within a safe and secure environment. Necessary Experience or Qualifications: · Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people. Ideally 6-months experience of working as a Support Worker. Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
