Financial Director

Flint Hyde is proud to continue its long-held partnership with this historical name within the packaging industry, by helping them to find a Finance Director to help lead the business through its next stage of development. Objective To provide a business support system that covers financial reporting, business analysis & systems, legal & policy compliance and cash management for the business. Main duties and responsibilities Reporting: Ensure all internal and external reporting timetables are met across the group Continually improve the quality of reporting through greater use of analysis Evolve internal metrics and KPIs to meet changing priorities Analysis: Ensure process-based systems are in place for data (eg Atlas) Ensure support is in place across the group to enable ad hoc commercial and operational analysis Ensure all analysis is sufficiently robust through testing and challenge Support the development of improvement plans Develop improved systems and processes for transaction handling as well as analysis Compliance: Ensure all statutory and regulatory filings are complete and on time Ensure robust controls are in place across the group Assess and validate all investment decisions Ensure financial transactions are correctly managed and accounted for subject to USGAAP & IFRS. Treasury: Monitor and manage cashflow across the group Liaise with tax teams to ensure tax strategy is optimised Liaise with corporate treasury on funding, debt and other cashflow concerns -Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment is maintained. -Abide by the company’s environmental and quality management procedures. -Carry out any reasonable duties we request that are within your abilities, irrespective of grade/skill level. Key working relationships The Finance Director will work under the supervision of the management but will also be expected to work under their own initiative. Interfaces with Management, Employees, Customers and Suppliers, must always represent the company in a professional manner.
