Job Description
We’re seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join a highly regarded audit team within a top 40 accountancy firm. This role offers exposure to complex audits, career progression opportunities, and a supportive environment that prioritises work-life balance. You’ll lead audits for a range of clients, mentor junior team members, and gain hands-on experience to prepare for future managerial roles. Key Responsibilities Focus on 80% audit and 20% accounts preparation. Lead audits for clients with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialised sectors (e.g., FCA, pensions, charities). Prepare statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, and draft corporation tax computations. Support and mentor junior staff, resolving technical accounting and auditing queries. Manage a growing portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, developing strong relationships. Contribute to team improvement initiatives and assist with business development efforts. About You ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in a Chartered Practice. Familiarity with a diverse client base, including pension schemes, LLPs, FCA-regulated entities, and charities. Strong technical expertise in FRS 102 and FRS 105 (IFRS experience is an advantage). Confident communicator with clients, peers, and senior stakeholders.
