Service Director

Service Director Location: Essex (minimum three days per week) We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading UK-based technology services provider specialising in IT solutions, cloud services, communications, and cybersecurity for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). With strong partnerships with key vendors like Microsoft, HP, VMware, Sophos , and Dell , the organisation focuses on leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency, business growth, and exceptional customer service. The company is seeking an experienced Service Director to lead and oversee its service delivery operations and strategy. This is a pivotal leadership role within a dynamic, fast-growing business. You will manage a team of 60 and be responsible for driving operational excellence across infrastructure, telecoms, managed services, Sage applications, and development . Key Responsibilities: Shape and execute the service delivery strategy to support growth and innovation. Lead, scale, and inspire teams, with proven experience of significantly growing teams from 50 upwards to support ambitious growth plans. Drive operational efficiency and ensure service excellence across multiple service lines. Engage with executive stakeholders and key vendor partners (e.g., Microsoft, HP) to maximise value. Stay ahead of technological advancements in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity. Requirements: Min 3 years of proven director-level experience in a similar role within the IT services or technology sector. Demonstrated success in significantly scaling teams and managing large, multi-functional teams. Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering revenue growth and operational efficiency. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level. High-level understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and managed services. Comfortable with a hybrid working model, including at least three days per week in Essex . Package: Competitive salary (£120,000–£150,000) plus bonus. Private healthcare, car allowance, and 30 days’ holiday.
